Plasma Endo Plazen RCT®

Seongmo Dental Clinic (Sungshin Women’s University) — Plasma Root Canal Treatment (Plazen RCT®)

A more comfortable, faster, and more reliable chance to save your tooth

Root canal treatment free from pain and time —
available at only about 400 clinics nationwide

Root canal treatment is often cited as one of the most difficult and burdensome dental procedures. Many patients delay treatment because of the multiple visits, pain, and anxiety involved. To resolve these concerns, Seongmo Dental Clinic introduced the state-of-the-art Plasma Endo Plazen RCT®, released in May 2023. Located near Sungshin Women’s University Station, Seongmo Dental Clinic operates the Plasma Endo Plazen RCT® device to relieve root canal pain and quantitatively secure treatment success through a high-speed sterilization process lasting around one minute.

Seongmo Dental Clinic Plazen plasma root canal device, Sungshin Women's University area, Seongbuk-gu

Plasma Endo core technology

Overwhelming sterilization power and precision (aqueous plasma & reactive oxygen species)+
Plazen fills the root canal with water and inserts a special tip to generate a plasma discharge. The resulting reactive oxygen species (ROS) use powerful oxidation to chemically break down and destroy bacteria and biofilm in micro-crevices and lateral canals that mechanical files cannot reach. It even removes causes of reinfection that were difficult to address with conventional disinfectants (NaOCl).
Dramatically shorter treatment time and duration+
Conventional root canal treatment required 15 minutes or more per visit just for disinfection, but Plazen achieves complete sterilization with just about one minute of focused care. When clinically indicated, Seongmo Dental Clinic applies same-day canal filling (one-day endo) to minimize the number of patient visits to just one.
Minimized post-treatment pain and a comfortable recovery+
Because bacteria and necrotic tissue inside the canal are removed almost completely, the “debris” pushed beyond the root tip that causes inflammation is minimized. You can expect a much more comfortable recovery than with conventional methods.
Higher success rates for retreatment and difficult cases+
For cases where pain returns after a previous root canal treatment, or other difficult-to-treat cases, Seongmo Dental Clinic uses reactive oxygen species (ROS) to precisely target E. faecalis bacteria, lowering the recurrence rate of previously failed treatments and securing a higher success rate.
Maximized preservation of natural teeth (minimized mechanical enlargement)+
Because plasma handles cleaning and sterilization, mechanical removal (enlargement) of the canal with files can be minimized. This lowers the risk of the tooth wall thinning and fracturing, extending the tooth’s lifespan and helping preserve your natural tooth in a stronger state.

Plasma Endo Plazen is a premium, state-of-the-art device costing roughly 38 million KRW, representing an innovative technology that points to the future of restorative dental care. To more successfully offer patients this last chance to save their precious natural teeth, Seongmo Dental Clinic provides this advanced treatment at the standard national health insurance root canal fee, with no additional cost.

Experience next-generation root canal treatment at Seongmo Dental Clinic — faster, cleaner, and more comfortable, protecting your teeth.

EMS Prophylaxis Master

EMS Prophylaxis Master

The only EMS Airflow powder scaling system in Seongbuk-gu

We turn every uncomfortable memory of scaling into comfort.

To break the assumption that “scaling is inherently painful and uncomfortable,” we offer a completely new approach to gum care. Switzerland’s EMS Prophylaxis Master is an innovative system created to scientifically resolve every drawback of conventional scaling — pain, noise, sensitivity, and irritation. Through the organic interplay of four core functions, scaling and gum treatment become refreshing, comfortable care rather than a painful ordeal.

Seongmo Dental Clinic EMS Prophylaxis Master powder scaling system

EMS Prophylaxis Master core technology

Warm-water system — cutting off the source of sensitivity pain+
All treatment uses water warmed to around 37°C, close to body temperature, preventing the sharp, sensitive discomfort caused by cold water and providing a comfortable experience.
PIEZON® NO PAIN — intelligent tartar removal+
Smart technology responds powerfully to hard tartar and delicately to soft plaque or clean tooth surfaces, removing only the tartar that needs to be removed with minimal pain and no damage to healthy tooth structure.
PERIOFLOW® — care deep beneath the gumline+
This is on a different level from the conventional method of scraping beneath the gums with sharp hand instruments. PERIOFLOW sprays a fine powder through a soft, specialized nozzle, thoroughly cleaning deep periodontal pockets and hard-to-reach areas around implants.
AIRFLOW® — irritation-free surface cleansing+
A soft, fine powder removes deep staining that conventional scalers could not reach, without damaging the tooth surface — restoring your teeth’s original bright, clean color, as if you had a whitening treatment.

EMS Prophylaxis Master is Seongmo Dental Clinic’s commitment to turning scaling and gum care from something to endure into a refreshing, comfortable experience.

Q-ray

Q-ray

The quantitative light-induced fluorescence system near Sungshin Women’s University

We prove problems you couldn’t see before, in red light.

To detect problems that are hard to find with the naked eye or X-rays, we introduced the Q-ray system (QRaycam Pro, QRay Pen, QScan Plus), which uses specialized fluorescence analysis technology. When a blue light harmless to the human body is shone on a tooth, problem areas glow red, showing the hidden cause directly to the patient.

Seongmo Dental Clinic Q-ray quantitative light-induced fluorescence system

Q-ray core technology

Early detection of incipient cavities+
Even painless, invisible incipient cavities that other clinics might easily miss are clearly identified in red light, demonstrating the real difference true diagnostic skill makes.
Diagnosis of hidden secondary decay+
It can detect secondary decay progressing hidden beneath existing restorations (crowns, inlays) or at resin margins.
Detection of microscopic cracks+
It visually shows microscopic tooth cracks — often the culprit behind unexplained pain — along with surrounding bacterial activity, enabling diagnosis based on accurate data rather than guesswork.
Detection of inflammation around gums and implants+
It detects inflammation hidden deep in the gums or around implants using red fluorescence, enabling early diagnosis of periodontal disease and peri-implantitis and scientific monitoring of treatment progress.
Transparent care you review together with your patient+
Because we explain problem areas shown in red together with you on the monitor, you can directly understand and agree with the need for treatment. This forms the basis of honest diagnosis and trust, without overtreatment.

The Q-ray system, which finds problems that would otherwise go unseen, is Seongmo Dental Clinic’s core commitment to honest diagnosis without overtreatment and transparent communication with patients.

Quicksleeper

Quicksleeper

Computer-controlled intraosseous anesthesia near Sungshin Women’s University

“I struggled because the anesthesia didn’t work” — an experience you won’t have at Seongmo Dental Clinic.

Fear of anesthetic injections, and the painful experience of treatment when anesthesia doesn’t take properly, are among the biggest causes of dental trauma. To fundamentally resolve this problem, Seongmo Dental Clinic introduced Quicksleeper, a premium intraosseous anesthesia device that requires skilled technique and know-how. It is an entirely different tier of anesthesia system, found at only a small number of clinics.

Seongmo Dental Clinic Quicksleeper intraosseous anesthesia device

Quicksleeper core technology

Comfort so complete, you may not even notice the injection+
A computer-controlled automatic pressure system injects anesthetic at an extremely gentle and consistent rate. This scientific control eliminates the pressure-related pain of injection at its source, and many patients don’t even notice the moment anesthesia begins.
Immediate anesthesia, with no waiting+
Because the anesthetic is injected directly into the cancellous bone near the nerve, the effect appears almost immediately, without the usual 5–10 minute wait. This reduces patient anxiety and shortens overall treatment time.
Reliable anesthesia even in difficult cases+
It delivers stable anesthetic effect even in difficult cases where conventional anesthesia often fails — such as dense cancellous bone near the lower front teeth, thick cortical bone near the lower molars, or areas with severe inflammation.
Eliminating unnecessary discomfort+
Because only the tooth being treated is precisely anesthetized, we eliminate the discomfort of the lips, tongue, or cheek staying numb for hours after treatment.

Not every clinic can offer this, since it requires expensive equipment and skilled technique — but we believe that if there is a way to reduce a patient’s fear, choosing it is simply the right thing to do.
Quicksleeper is Seongmo Dental Clinic’s firm commitment to patient-centered care.

ACTILINK

ACTILINK

Plasma surface-activation system for implants and prosthetics near Sungshin Women’s University

We awaken the full potential of every material to raise the quality of treatment.

Successful restorative and prosthetic treatment depends on artificial materials functioning as naturally as part of your own body. Immediately before a procedure, ACTILINK uses plasma energy to activate the surface of every core material used in treatment — implants, prosthetics, bone graft material — putting them in optimal condition. It is an integrated solution that raises the overall quality of treatment to a new level.

Seongmo Dental Clinic ACTILINK plasma surface activation system

ACTILINK core technology

Implant fixtures+
Surface activation creates an optimal hydrophilic state where blood doesn’t bead up but adheres firmly. This promotes faster, stronger bonding between bone and implant (osseointegration), shortening treatment time and improving long-term success rates.
Bone graft material+
Maximizing the hydrophilicity of bone graft material lets it absorb blood and growth factors like a sponge. This improves the stability of the graft material and promotes new bone formation, producing a firmer, more predictable result.
Membranes+
Activating the membrane surface helps it bond with gum tissue early and settle stably in place. This supports faster gum healing and helps secure the space needed for the bone graft material to remain stable.
Abutments+
Activating the abutment surface promotes better attachment of gum cells (fibroblasts). This forms a dense, healthy gum barrier around the abutment, playing a decisive role in blocking external bacterial invasion and maintaining long-term gum health.
Various prosthetics (zirconia, E-max, hybrid inlays, etc.)+
Activating the surface of various prosthetics — zirconia, E-max (lithium disilicate), hybrid inlays, and more — maximizes bonding strength. This reduces the likelihood of prosthetic detachment or micro-leakage.

Bonding powerfully with bone, wrapped healthily by gum tissue, and adhering seamlessly as a prosthetic. When every material performs at its best, the long-term success rate of treatment rises.

Osstem Beautis Light

Osstem Beautis Light

A premium whitening lamp system delivering up to 2,200mW/cm² near Sungshin Women’s University

We turn a disappointing at-home whitening experience into a satisfying one.

Have you tried a popular at-home whitening product but been disappointed that it didn’t deliver the results you expected? That’s due to the inherent limitations of a consumer product, as opposed to actual medical equipment. Seongmo Dental Clinic promises professional whitening that goes beyond that limitation.

Seongmo Dental Clinic Osstem Beautis Light whitening system

Osstem Beautis Light core technology

An overwhelming difference in output (light intensity)+
Whitening effectiveness is directly proportional to light intensity. Unlike an at-home necklace-type whitening device (estimated at roughly 50–100mW/cm²), our professional-grade unit delivers up to 2,200mW/cm² of high-power energy, dramatically accelerating the whitening gel’s reaction for dramatic results that simply aren’t possible at home.
A wavelength optimized for whitening+

Electric Motor

Electric Motor

A premium electric-motor system found in fewer than 5% of clinics in Korea

The technology that perfects the doctor’s touch — and makes the difference in the result

Did you think every dental visit is the same? The speed and safety of treatment, and the precision of the result, are determined by the quality of equipment behind the doctor’s hands. We have fitted a premium electric-motor system — found in fewer than 5% of clinics in Korea — on every treatment chair. This reflects Seongmo Dental Clinic’s firm commitment to delivering treatment that is overwhelmingly faster, safer, and more precise than anything you may have experienced before.

Seongmo Dental Clinic premium electric-motor handpiece system

Electric motor core technology — how is it different from an air turbine?

Overwhelming power and speed: a dramatic reduction in treatment time+
Unlike a conventional air turbine, an electric motor maintains consistent, strong power even against hard prosthetic material, without losing torque. This shortens the time to remove an old zirconia prosthetic from over 10 minutes to under 1 minute, and makes routine cavity treatment faster and smoother, dramatically reducing patient stress and fatigue.
Unmatched comfort and safety+
Instead of the sharp, high-pitched noise typical of an air turbine, a much quieter, smoother operating sound greatly reduces auditory stress and anxiety. It also generates significantly less vibration, and consistent rotation speed suppresses heat generation, minimizing stress on the tooth and surrounding tissue.
Ultra-precise, situational control of power and speed+
High-speed mode: shortens treatment time with powerful force when removing prosthetics or rapidly reducing tooth structure.Low-speed mode: for delicate work such as refining the margins of resin or prosthetics, an extremely low speed enables a delicate, precise approach for a superior finish. Low-speed mode is also used for safety when working near nerves during procedures such as wisdom tooth extraction.

Fast, precise, and safe — realizing all three values at once, the electric motor demonstrates Seongmo Dental Clinic’s firm clinical philosophy: never compromise on either your experience or your treatment outcome.

T-scan

T-scan

Digital occlusal analysis system near Sungshin Women’s University

An occlusal imbalance invisible to the eye,
captured accurately with data down to 0.003 seconds.

Occlusion refers to how your upper and lower teeth meet. Even a very slight occlusal imbalance can cause tooth fracture, TMJ disorders, implant failure, or prosthetic detachment. Previously, occlusion could only be checked with articulating paper (thin carbon film), making it difficult to know exactly which tooth bears how much force, when, and in what sequence. The T-scan digital occlusal analysis system that Seongmo Dental Clinic has introduced measures and visualizes occlusal force, timing, and per-tooth load in real time, down to 0.003-second increments. It captures occlusal problems that were previously invisible, using data, and resolves them scientifically.

Seongmo Dental Clinic T-scan digital occlusal analysis system

T-scan core technology

Real-time occlusal force and timing analysis+
It measures in real time, down to 0.003-second increments, which tooth makes contact first and how much force it bears. It visualizes the timing sequence and force distribution — information that articulating paper simply cannot reveal — as a color graph, enabling precise diagnosis.
Precise occlusal adjustment for implants and prosthetics+
Occlusal adjustment after fitting an implant or crown/inlay prosthetic is key to treatment success. T-scan checks excessive occlusal load in numerical terms while making precise adjustments, preventing prosthetic fracture, detachment, and peri-implantitis.
Improved precision for TMJ treatment+
It precisely identifies occlusal imbalance — one cause of TMJ disorder — and provides objective, data-based grounds for splint fabrication and adjustment. You can compare before-and-after data numerically to see the improvement together with your doctor.
Minimizing tooth reduction and occlusal adjustment+
It guides adjustment to only the areas that truly need it, minimizing unnecessary removal of precious tooth structure.
Diagnosing bruxism (teeth grinding/clenching)+
It analyzes the pattern of occlusal overload caused by grinding or clenching habits using data, providing an objective basis for deciding on a night guard prescription or Botox treatment.
Transparent occlusal care you review together with your patient+
We review the occlusal analysis results together with you on the monitor and explain them. You can directly understand the need for treatment through data rather than a “feeling,” enabling transparent, trustworthy care.

Occlusion is both the starting point and the finishing touch of every dental treatment.
Seongmo Dental Clinic in Seongbuk-gu resolves occlusal problems that would otherwise remain invisible, using T-scan digital occlusal analysis data, improving the long-term success rate of implant, prosthetic, and TMJ treatment.

VITA Easyshade® V

VITA Easyshade® V

Digital tooth shade measurement system near Sungshin Women’s University

The era of matching shade by eye is over.
Now accurate, down to 0.01 increments of spectrophotometric data.

Matching tooth color for prosthetics, veneers, or whitening treatment is far more difficult than it seems. The same tooth can look different depending on the clinic’s lighting, the doctor’s eye condition, and the patient’s hydration level. For a long time, dentistry relied on visually comparing a physical shade guide. The VITA Easyshade® V digital spectrophotometer that Seongmo Dental Clinic has introduced measures tooth shade with a precision sensor rather than the human eye. It provides objective, reproducible shade data that is consistent regardless of lighting conditions or who takes the measurement. This data is transmitted directly to the dental lab as digital values, leading to far more accurate prosthetic fabrication.

Seongmo Dental Clinic VITA Easyshade V digital shade measurement system

VITA Easyshade® V core technology

Precision spectrophotometric measurement — a sensor instead of an eye+
VITA Easyshade® V is equipped with a spectrophotometer that analyzes the entire visible light spectrum. It precisely quantifies even subtle differences in value, chroma, and hue that are hard for the human eye to distinguish, displaying results in both the VITA Classical A1–D4 and VITA SYSTEM 3D-MASTER shade systems.
Improved shade-matching accuracy for prosthetics and veneers+
For crowns, inlays, veneers, and every other prosthetic, measured data is sent to the dental lab. Because the technician works from numerical data instead of a visual record, the finished prosthetic blends far more naturally with your natural teeth. This reduces the frequency of remakes, saving treatment time and cost.
Objective before-and-after comparison for teeth whitening+
It quantifies tooth shade before and after professional whitening treatment using the same standard for comparison. We can clearly show you “how many shades brighter” your teeth became with data instead of a guess, letting you objectively confirm the whitening result and reasonably decide on further treatment.
Consistent results unaffected by lighting conditions+
Whether measured under fluorescent light, natural light, or LED light, the result is the same. We obtain reproducible, consistent shade data regardless of time of day, weather, or the doctor’s condition.
Transparent shade consultation you review together with your patient+
You can view the measurement result directly on screen, so we discuss your current tooth shade and target shade together with you, using data. Sharing “how bright you’d like your teeth to be” numerically aligns expectations and leads to a more satisfying esthetic result.

A single shade measurement changes the outcome of a prosthetic remake, and a single whitening record changes how much you can trust the treatment.
Seongmo Dental Clinic in Seongbuk-gu backs every step of esthetic treatment with data, using the VITA Easyshade® V.

CEREC Primemill

Seongmo Dental Clinic (Sungshin Women’s University) — Primemill (CEREC Primemill) Chairside Milling

From scan to seating — we mill your prosthetic in-house

The process that once meant taking an impression, sending it to a lab, and waiting two weeks
is now: scan → design → mill → same-day seating.

Seongmo Dental Clinic has introduced the Dentsply Sirona Primemill (CEREC Primemill) in-house, milling ceramic and zirconia blocks directly from data scanned with the Primescan. A zirconia crown is processed in about 5 minutes in Superfast mode, and combined with SpeedFire sintering, same-day prosthetics are possible when clinically indicated.

Seongmo Dental Clinic CEREC Primemill chairside milling unit

Primemill core technology

Milling and grinding in one — compatible with every material+
It handles both milling hard zirconia and grinding glass ceramics on a single unit. It processes zirconia, lithium disilicate, hybrid ceramics, and nearly every other chairside block, allowing us to freely select the right material for each case.
Same-day prosthetics — a shorter temporary-crown period+
Scanning, design, milling, and sintering are processed continuously in-house, so when indications are met, we fabricate and seat a crown, inlay, or endocrown the very same day.
Precise margin fit+
Because it mills directly from high-precision scan data, the prosthetic’s margin fit is excellent, favorably reducing the risk of secondary decay caused by bacteria penetrating through a gap.

Primemill is not just a milling unit —
it is the heart of an in-house digital prosthetic system that completes everything from scan to seating in a single day.

Dentsply Sirona SpeedFire

Seongmo Dental Clinic (Sungshin Women’s University) — SpeedFire Ultra-Fast Sintering

From milled prosthetic to in-house sintering and glazing

Zirconia prosthetics need to be fired after milling.
We’ve cut that process down to about 30 minutes.

Zirconia prosthetics must be sintered at high temperature after milling to reach their final strength and color. Seongmo Dental Clinic keeps the SpeedFire in-house, sintering a single prosthetic in about 30 minutes and integrating sintering and glazing into one process, connecting Primemill milling → sintering → same-day seating.

Seongmo Dental Clinic SpeedFire ultra-fast sintering furnace

SpeedFire core technology

About 30-minute sintering for a single prosthetic+
It dramatically shortens a process that conventional sintering furnaces required several hours for, resolving the final bottleneck to same-day prosthetics.
Integrated sintering and glazing+
It applies the surface-glazing step together after sintering, reducing the number of steps and helping create a smooth surface that resists staining and bacterial adhesion.
Immediately shorter temporary-crown period+
It reduces the two-week wait typically spent wearing a temporary crown, lowering gum irritation and the burden of repeat visits.

Same-day prosthetics require both a milling unit and a sintering unit working together.
Seongmo Dental Clinic operates Primemill and SpeedFire together, in-house.

The Botox result isn’t determined by the drug itself, but by exactly how much was injected, and where.

Seongmo Dental Clinic uses the i-JECT B digital quantitative injection device. It automatically doses in 0.05cc increments, minimizing left–right variation, and manages injection volume in a recordable, reproducible way for Botox treatment of the masseter (jaw-slimming) and temporalis muscles related to bruxism (teeth grinding/clenching).

Seongmo Dental Clinic i-JECT B digital quantitative Botox injection device

i-JECT B core technology

0.05cc automatic quantitative injection+
Dosing that once depended on manual feel is now precisely controlled by the device, keeping the dose consistent across each area.
Minimized left–right variation+
Injecting the same dose evenly on both sides reduces the risk of asymmetry and lets us reproduce the same conditions in the next session.
Treatment for bruxism, jaw slimming, and the temporalis muscle+
Together with the occlusal overload pattern identified through T-scan digital occlusal analysis, we select overactive muscle areas to build the treatment plan.

Predictable results for your next session require both precise dosing and careful records.
Seongmo Dental Clinic plans Botox treatment together with occlusal data.

5-Axis Wet Milling

Seongmo Dental Clinic (Sungshin Women’s University) — 5-Axis Wet Milling Machine

Not outsourced to a lab — the treating doctor designs, mills, and seats it personally

Instead of relying on an outside lab, the doctor who treats you takes responsibility from design to seating.

Seongmo Dental Clinic keeps a 5-axis wet milling machine in-house, with the doctor personally designing and milling the prosthetic and seating it on the spot. The 5-axis simultaneous control method allows the tool to reach angled surfaces and undercuts, fabricating a wide range of prosthetics in-house — crowns, inlays, and veneers, as well as bridges, custom implant abutments, and bruxism/TMJ appliances. Because it’s a wet milling process that sprays coolant while cutting, heat doesn’t build up in zirconia or glass ceramic, reducing micro-cracks and producing a smooth, well-finished margin between tooth and prosthetic.

Seongmo Dental Clinic 5-axis wet milling machine

5-axis wet milling machine core technology

The doctor designs it personally — the one who treats you also designs it+
The doctor who personally examined your occlusion, gum condition, and opposing tooth shape does the design directly. Without the step of explaining the desired shape to an outside lab through notes and models, the gap between the intended shape and the finished prosthetic narrows. If any adjustment is needed after a try-in, the design can be revised and remilled on the spot.
5-axis simultaneous machining — even undercuts and angled structures+
3-axis and 4-axis units have limited tool-approach directions, making it difficult to mill angled surfaces or undercut structures. A 5-axis unit tilts the material along multiple axes during machining, so it can handle complex cases such as custom implant abutments, prosthetics with an angled screw hole, or bridges connecting multiple teeth.
Wet machining — precise cutting without heat damage+
Heat generated during milling can leave micro-cracks in ceramic, shortening the prosthetic’s lifespan. Wet milling cools the material instantly by spraying coolant while cutting, and also washes away dust, leaving a smooth margin surface. A precise margin lowers the risk of secondary decay and micro-leakage.
A wide range of prosthetics fabricated in-house+
We select the right material for each case — zirconia, glass ceramic, hybrid ceramic, PMMA, wax, and more — to fabricate crowns, inlays, onlays, endocrowns, veneers, bridges, implant prosthetics, temporary prosthetics, and oral appliances. With fewer restrictions on material and shape, treatment plans can be tailored more closely to each patient’s condition.
Fully completed in-house — no more round trips to a lab+
Every step — Primescan scanning → design → 5-axis wet milling → SpeedFire sintering → seating — is handled in-house. For cases that meet the indications, the final prosthetic is seated the same day, without a long wait wearing a temporary crown.

The one who designs it also mills it, and the one who mills it also seats it.
Seongmo Dental Clinic in Seongbuk-gu takes responsibility for the entire prosthetic fabrication process in-house, with the 5-axis wet milling machine.

Advanced dental equipment near Sungshin Women’s University — frequently asked questions

Q. Is Plazen root canal treatment near Sungshin Women’s University more expensive?

Even though Seongmo Dental Clinic has introduced the Plazen device, costing roughly 38 million KRW, it applies the standard national health insurance root canal treatment fee with no additional cost. We offer this advanced system — found in only about 400 clinics nationwide — at the price of conventional root canal treatment.

Q. How is Plazen root canal treatment different from conventional root canal treatment?

Conventional root canal treatment relies on placing medication and waiting for disinfection, requiring 15 minutes or more per visit. Plazen uses reactive oxygen species (ROS) generated by a plasma discharge to sterilize even micro-crevices that a file cannot reach, in under a minute. The biggest differences are elimination of reinfection causes, minimized post-treatment pain, and fewer visits (same-day endo is possible).

Q. Can I get EMS powder scaling covered by national health insurance in Seongbuk-gu?

Seongmo Dental Clinic offers the EMS Prophylaxis Master full system (PIEZON · PERIOFLOW · AIRFLOW integrated) — the only one in Seongbuk-gu — at the standard national health insurance scaling/gum-treatment cost. There is no additional charge.

Q. Scaling scares me and makes my teeth sensitive. Is EMS really less painful?

The EMS Prophylaxis Master uses water warmed to about 37°C, close to body temperature, blocking the sensitive pain caused by cold water at the source. PIEZON technology responds strongly only to hard tartar and gently on clean tooth surfaces, minimizing unnecessary irritation.

Q. I’ve had a bad experience with anesthesia not working well. Can Quicksleeper help?

Quicksleeper is an intraosseous anesthesia device that injects anesthetic directly into the cancellous bone near the nerve, delivering reliable anesthesia even in difficult cases such as thick cortical bone or severe inflammation. Applied in stages together with i-ject, it fundamentally resolves the experience of anesthesia not working properly.

Q. When is T-scan occlusal analysis needed?

T-scan occlusal analysis is needed for occlusal adjustment after prosthetic treatment such as implants, crowns, or inlays; TMJ disorder treatment; diagnosing bruxism (grinding/clenching); and unexplained tooth pain or fracture. It precisely measures occlusal force and timing — down to 0.003 seconds — that articulating paper cannot capture.

Q. My prosthetic keeps breaking after my implant. Can T-scan help?

The most common cause of repeated prosthetic fracture is occlusal force concentrating on a specific tooth. T-scan shows numerically how much force is applied to which tooth, allowing precise adjustment of the overloaded point.

Q. My prosthetic looked like the wrong tooth color. Why does that happen?

The conventional method relies on the doctor visually comparing a shade guide, which can introduce error depending on lighting, condition, and moisture level. Seongmo Dental Clinic measures tooth shade numerically with the VITA Easyshade® V digital spectrophotometer and transmits it to the dental lab, minimizing shade error with reproducible, objective data.

Q. Can I know exactly how much brighter my teeth got after whitening?

With the VITA Easyshade® V, we quantify your tooth shade before and after whitening using the same standard for comparison. You can confirm “how many shades brighter” with data rather than a guess, helping you reasonably decide whether further whitening is needed.

Q. Is 3D CT really necessary before implant surgery near Sungshin Women’s University?

Seongmo Dental Clinic’s HDX Dentri 3D CT identifies bone thickness and nerve canal location to the millimeter, improving the safety and precision of implants, wisdom tooth extraction, and apicoectomy. Linked with our 3D printer surgical guides, it enables navigation surgery.

Q. Why is an electric-motor handpiece better than an air turbine?

An electric motor allows precise high-speed/low-speed control with less noise and vibration. It shortens the time to remove a zirconia prosthetic from over 10 minutes to under 1 minute. Found in fewer than 5% of clinics in Korea, Seongmo Dental Clinic has equipped every treatment chair with one.

Q. Can you make a same-day temporary crown or splint in-house?

Seongmo Dental Clinic uses data captured by the Primescan 3D scanner to immediately fabricate temporary crowns, TMJ splints, ARS appliances, and surgical guides on our in-house 3D printer. We complete them quickly, without outsourcing to an external lab.

Q. What does it mean that the doctor personally designs the prosthetic?

Seongmo Dental Clinic keeps a 5-axis wet milling machine in-house, with the treating doctor personally designing, machining, and seating the prosthetic. Without the step of describing the desired shape to an outside lab through words and models, it is made as intended, and if adjustment is needed after a try-in, it can be remilled and adjusted on the spot.

Q. How is a 5-axis milling machine different from a 3-axis or 4-axis machine?

3-axis and 4-axis units have limited tool-approach directions, making angled surfaces or undercuts difficult to mill. A 5-axis unit tilts the material in multiple directions while cutting, so it can fabricate complex shapes such as custom implant abutments, prosthetics with angled screw holes, and bridges connecting several teeth. Seongmo Dental Clinic adds wet machining with coolant on top of this, reducing heat damage and micro-cracks.

Q. What equipment do you use for in-house 3D printing?

We operate the Phrozen Sonic CS+ dental LCD photopolymer 3D printer together with the dedicated Cure+ post-curing unit. Using dental resin, we print temporary crowns, TMJ splints, custom denture impression trays, implant surgical guides, and diagnostic models, completing washing and post-curing entirely in-house.

Q. I stopped treatment at another clinic — can I continue it at Seongmo Dental Clinic?

Yes, that’s possible. Seongmo Dental Clinic also treats complex cases discontinued at other medical institutions. After precisely assessing your current condition with Q-ray fluorescence analysis, the Primescan 3D scanner, and HDX Dentri 3D CT, we establish a new treatment plan aligned with our natural-tooth-preservation guidelines.
