Privacy Policy

Seongmo Dental Clinic (hereinafter “the Clinic”) establishes and discloses the following privacy policy in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act, in order to protect the personal information of data subjects and to promptly and smoothly handle related grievances.

Article 1 (Purposes of Processing Personal Information)

The Clinic processes personal information for the following purposes. Personal information being processed is not used for any purpose other than the following, and if the purpose of use changes, the Clinic will implement necessary measures, such as obtaining separate consent under Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

Medical treatment and hospitalization, examination appointments, appointment inquiries, and treatment consultation
Provision of administrative services such as billing, payment, and refund of medical expenses
Securing a smooth communication channel for delivering notices and handling complaints

Article 2 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information)

The Clinic processes and retains personal information within the retention and use period required by law, or the period consented to by the data subject at the time of collection.

Medical records: 10 years (Article 15 of the Enforcement Rules of the Medical Service Act)
Prescriptions: 2 years
Website member information: Until membership withdrawal
(However, if an investigation is underway due to a violation of relevant laws, the information will be retained until that investigation concludes.)

Article 3 (Items of Personal Information Processed)

The Clinic collects the minimum personal information necessary for medical treatment and use of additional services.

Required items: Name, resident registration number (pursuant to the Medical Service Act), address, contact information
Optional items: Email, guardian’s contact information, etc.

Article 4 (Destruction of Personal Information)

The Clinic destroys personal information without delay once it becomes unnecessary, such as when the retention period has elapsed or the processing purpose has been achieved.

Article 5 (Personal Information Protection Officer)

The Clinic has designated the following Personal Information Protection Officer, who is responsible for overseeing personal information processing and handling data subjects’ complaints and remedying damages.
