Before cutting a tooth, first the way not to cut it.
A tooth once cut never comes back. Our cosmetic care improves colour, shape and alignment while removing no natural tooth structure at all, or as little as possible. Seongmo Dental Clinic opened in 1998, a 30-second walk from Exit 2 of Sungshin Women’s University Station, and holds three Osstem Beautis Light units and the Bioclear™ system. Treatment is carried out personally by the director, a full member of the Korean Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and an officially certified Minish provider, on a no-prep principle.

What brought you here today?
Our first diagnostic question is not “how much shall we cut?” but “can we avoid cutting at all?”
- My teeth look yellow and dull — professional whitening, as quickly as 90 minutes.
- There is a gap between my front teeth — no-prep veneers or composite.
- My front tooth is chipped or worn — resin build-up, restored the same day.
- I want to know the cost first — see the published fixed-price fee table.
- Too much gum shows when I smile — gummy smile botox.
- I am concerned about a square jaw or my trapezius — botox across six areas.
What is professional teeth whitening?
Ten years of one cup of coffee a day becomes the colour of your teeth.
| Duration | Same day to 3 weeks |
|---|---|
| Tooth reduction | None |
| Programmes | 1 session to 9 sessions in total |
| Cost | Published fixed-price fee table |
Our whitening is a professional procedure combining the high-output Osstem Beautis Light source, approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, with high-concentration hydrogen peroxide to break down pigment selectively within the enamel. Teeth stained by coffee, tea and wine, or darkened with age, are returned to a brighter shade without damage.
Does any of this apply to you?
- The colour of my teeth is the first thing I notice in the mirror
- I close my mouth without thinking when a photo is taken
- I have no confidence I could give up coffee, wine or tea
- I have tried self-whitening products but felt no effect
| Programme | Composition | Suited to |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | Once in one day (1 session total) | A trial starting programme for a first experience of whitening |
| One-day intensive | Three times in one day (3 sessions, about 90 minutes) | A wedding or interview just ahead — 90 minutes in one day is enough |
| Standard ◆ | Once a day for 3 days (3 sessions total) | The standard programme, raising brightness steadily while keeping sensitivity to a minimum |
| Premium intensive | Three times a day for 3 days (9 sessions total) | Difficult cases with naturally dark teeth or heavy staining |
Programme composition may be adjusted according to the results of precise diagnosis. Costs per programme are shown in the fee guide below.
How whitening works
Reactive oxygen generated from high-concentration hydrogen peroxide penetrates deep into enamel and dentine and selectively oxidises only the pigment molecules causing discolouration, brightening the tooth from within. We use a two-track light source — the Osstem Beautis stand type and pendant type. Professional Osstem Beautis whitening breaks down deep pigment inside the enamel far more effectively than low-concentration over-the-counter products.
The professional whitening process — seven stages
- Preliminary scaling and assessment of gum condition — surface staining and calculus removed.
- VITA shade measurement — the current brightness recorded objectively.
- Gum barrier applied — the gums protected from the high-concentration agent.
- Osstem Beautis whitening gel applied — genuine, MFDS-approved product.
- Specialised light exposure — about 15–20 minutes, accelerating the oxygen reaction.
- Gel removed and desensitising treatment — preventing sensitivity.
- Result checked and aftercare explained — before-and-after shades compared.
Specialised whitening solutions for difficult cases
Teeth blackened by nerve damage (non-vital teeth), tetracycline staining, mottled enamel from fluoride, and teeth where age has thickened the yellow dentine inside all respond only partially to ordinary whitening. We identify the cause of discolouration precisely and apply a dedicated protocol to find the best brightness achievable from your current condition.
Whitening consultations: 02-922-3966. On Tuesdays we treat until 8pm.
Veneers — can they be done without cutting the tooth?
The habit of covering your mouth with your hand when you smile — you can leave it behind.
| Visits | 2–3 |
|---|---|
| Principle | No-prep first |
| Bond strength | About 150 kgf |
| Cost | Published fixed-price fee table |
We apply no-prep veneers as our first option. Depending on your condition, the director — an officially certified Minish provider — personally selects the best of three approaches: E-max, hand-built platinum foil, or Minish, achieving a bond strength of about 150 kgf with a precise adhesive protocol.
People who look into veneers
- There is a gap between my front teeth, or I do not like their shape
- I have discolouration that whitening cannot solve
- I was told elsewhere the teeth “have to be cut” and I am hesitating
- I want it to look like my own teeth, not artificial ones
| Method | Key characteristics | Suitable cases |
|---|---|---|
| E-max | The leading method, with an excellent balance of strength and translucency; stability verified by abundant clinical data and natural shade reproduction. | Anterior veneers in general — everyday cases |
| Hand-built platinum foil | A demanding method in which a master technician builds ceramic stitch by stitch onto platinum foil under a microscope. Ultra-thin at 0.1 mm or less, minimising reduction. | Cases where no-prep or almost no reduction is the priority |
| Minish | Performed by an officially certified Minish provider. Ultra-thin ceramic bonded after no preparation or minimal refinement, securing both the translucency and the strength of a natural tooth. | Cases dedicated to no-prep or minimal-prep veneers |
“No-prep” as a principle, to preserve the natural tooth
Where your condition allows it, we consider no-prep veneers first, with no cutting of the tooth at all. Digital precision matters just as much: a Primescan CAD/CAM 3D scan reduces impression error compared with rubber impression material, raising the accuracy of veneer fit.
Completed at a master technician’s fingertips — hand-built platinum foil
This is not machine milling. A skilled technician builds ceramic powder stitch by stitch onto platinum foil under a microscope, creating an ultra-thin layer of 0.1 mm or less, as thin as a contact lens. We propose this method to patients who are extremely reluctant to have any tooth cut away.
Summary
- No-prep first — zero tooth reduction where possible
- Designed and performed personally by the director, a full member of the Korean Academy of Esthetic Dentistry
- E-max, hand-built platinum foil and Minish — a tailored choice of three methods
- About 150 kgf bond strength — normal eating after a week of settling
Why does it matter that restorations are made inside the clinic?
The person who designs and the person who makes it should be the same — that is how it fits your tooth.
We run an in-house digital laboratory system with the Primescan 3D scanner and the Primemill milling unit. In suitable cases, ceramic restorations are designed and fabricated on site rather than sent to an outside laboratory, so the director can adjust colour and form immediately and the number of visits is reduced.
Normally, veneers and crowns are impressioned, sent to an external laboratory, and you wait several days. Fine adjustment of colour and form then depends only on photographs and written instructions. Here, 3D data captured with Primescan is milled directly on the in-house Primemill to complete the ceramic restoration, and the director adjusts shade and form on the spot while looking at your face and natural teeth — so in suitable cases it can be completed the same day.
| Category | A typical case | In-house fabrication here |
|---|---|---|
| Where it is made | Outsourced to an external laboratory | In-house CEREC digital laboratory (suitable cases) |
| Colour and form adjustment | Dependent on photographs and instructions | Adjusted immediately by the director while looking at the patient |
| Time required | Several days to two weeks of waiting | Same-day completion possible in suitable cases |
| Demanding handwork | Outsourced without distinction | Platinum foil and similar work hand-built by a master at our dedicated esthetic partner laboratory |
What is resin build-up?
A front tooth chipped today, restored today.
| Duration | Mostly one visit, same day |
|---|---|
| Tooth reduction | Almost none |
| Repair | Partial repair possible |
| Cost | Published fixed-price fee table |
Resin build-up is cosmetic treatment in which composite resin, similar in colour and behaviour to a tooth, is layered to rebuild it. Using the Bioclear™ specialised matrix and the Dr’s Light curing unit, chipped or worn front teeth and black triangles are restored in mostly a single same-day visit.
When resin build-up is needed
- The tip of a front tooth is chipped or worn and looks short
- A black triangle shows between the teeth when I smile
- I want it finished within a day, before an important occasion
Compared with conventional composite filling, the Bioclear™ matrix fills the black triangle space between front teeth in a more precise and natural form.
Minimal reduction
Almost no tooth is removed, so natural enamel is preserved as far as possible.
Same-day completion
Mostly completed quickly and simply in a single visit.
Refined shade
A range of colours and translucency is reproduced precisely and set firmly by light curing.
Easy maintenance
Only the part that needs it can be repaired simply, which makes upkeep easy.
We restore chipped or worn front teeth, gaps between teeth, and surface decay or spots with resin build-up. The Dr’s Light multi-wavelength curing unit delivers high-intensity light that cures the resin evenly through its depth, minimising the chance of debonding or discolouration, and we select genuine resin lines suited to the characteristics of your teeth.
Botox at a dental clinic — what is different?
It is given by a specialist who works with the chewing muscles every day.
| Principle | Genuine product opened in front of you · exact dosage |
|---|---|
| Areas | Six sites |
| Performed by | The director personally |
| Cost | Published fixed-price fee table |
Our director, who understands oral and maxillofacial structure in depth, opens the genuine product in front of the patient and injects an exact dose with no subdivision. We treat six areas: masseter (square jaw), salivary glands, chin dimpling, expression lines, gummy smile and trapezius.
For both effect and safety, we open the genuine product in front of you, mix the precise dose and use it without subdividing. Analysing facial balance, muscle movement and expression, and injecting accurately at effective points, is the core of botox treatment here.
| Treatment area | Target | Expected effect |
|---|---|---|
| Masseter · temporalis | Over-developed masticatory muscles (square jaw) | A softer facial shape, less load on the jaw joint |
| Salivary glands | Enlarged submandibular and parotid glands | A sharper lower facial line |
| Chin dimpling | Walnut-like wrinkling of the mentalis | A smooth chin line |
| Glabella · forehead · eye area | Wrinkles from over-contraction of expression muscles | A softer, more relaxed impression |
| Gummy smile | Excessive gum exposure when smiling | A natural smile line |
| Trapezius · neck lines | Developed trapezius, vertical neck lines | An improved shoulder and neck line |
We do not hide the cost of cosmetic care
“You will have to come in to find out” — we do not say that.
Every cosmetic item is operated at a fixed published price, and our non-covered fee table is public. Costs per item can be checked on the non-covered fee guide page; which items apply can change with the condition of your teeth, so we explain the total cost before treatment after a precise examination.
| Item | Composition | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Professional whitening | Basic / One-day / Standard / Premium | See the published fee table |
| Veneers | E-max / hand-built platinum foil / Minish (per tooth) | See the published fee table |
| Resin build-up | By site and extent (per tooth) | See the published fee table |
| Botox | By area (masseter, salivary glands, trapezius and so on) | See the published fee table |
Disclosure of non-covered treatment costs follows the public criteria of the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (hira.or.kr). Items may be added or removed according to diagnosis, and the total cost is provided in writing before treatment begins.

We promise harmony
Minimal invasion and natural beauty are the core principles of our cosmetic care. We analyse the facial midline, lip inclination and skin tone, and design a shade in harmony with your own natural tooth colour rather than an artificial white.
We promise comfort
Comfort here is not only the absence of pain; it includes the psychological reassurance of knowing your own teeth are being protected. Minimally invasive treatment that preserves natural teeth as far as possible is the answer.
We respect your time
A digital workflow based on a 3D intraoral scanner and 3D printer allows before-and-after simulation and immediate fabrication of temporary teeth, reducing unnecessary visits and waiting.
We promise quality of care
Not an abstract claim of “good materials” but verified, genuine products: E-max and Minish ceramics through our dedicated esthetic partner laboratory, the Bioclear™ system for composite, and Osstem Beautis for whitening.
We do not publish reviews on our own site. Assessments left by patients themselves can be read exactly as written on Naver, Google and Kakao Map.
Frequently asked questions
How much does cosmetic treatment cost?
Every item is operated at a fixed published price and is disclosed on the non-covered fee guide page. Because the items that apply depend on the condition of your teeth, we explain the total cost before treatment after a precise examination.
Does cosmetic treatment weaken the teeth?
We take “no preparation” as our first principle. Where the tooth is not cut, its structural strength is maintained, and where minimal refinement is unavoidable we keep it to the smallest possible amount.
How long does whitening last?
Generally one to two years, depending on dietary habits such as coffee, tea, wine and smoking. Periodic touch-up sessions help maintain brightness.
Could a veneer come off?
Our precise adhesive protocol achieves a bond strength of about 150 kgf. With correct bonding and reasonable habits, veneers stay firmly in place.
What should I eat after veneer treatment?
Within the first week after bonding, please avoid hard or sticky foods. After the bond has settled, normal eating is possible.
Can teeth be sensitive after veneers or resin build-up?
Because treatment is no-prep or minimal-prep, sensitivity is rare. If it does occur it is usually temporary, and we apply desensitising treatment where needed.
Which is right for me — whitening, veneers or composite?
It depends on the condition of your teeth, the degree of discolouration and the result you want. We advise you after precise diagnosis, always considering the least invasive option first.
How long does cosmetic treatment take?
Whitening takes from the same day to three weeks depending on the programme, resin build-up is mostly completed the same day, and veneers are finished in two to three visits. A 3D intraoral scanner digital workflow keeps waiting time and visits to a minimum.
Are there side effects after botox?
Bruising or swelling at the injection site and temporary awkwardness of expression can occur, and these usually resolve naturally. We minimise them with exact dosing and precise injection points.
Five key terms, explained simply
- No-prep laminate — bonding an ultra-thin ceramic shell to the front of the tooth without cutting it at all. We apply this method first wherever possible.
- Minish — a minimally invasive veneer system in which ultra-thin ceramic is bonded after no preparation or only fine refinement. Our director is an officially certified Minish provider.
- Bioclear™ — a specialised matrix system that creates an ideal tooth form during resin build-up, particularly effective for improving black triangles between front teeth.
- Osstem Beautis Light — an MFDS-approved high-output whitening light unit. We run three of them, in stand and pendant configurations.
- Platinum foil build-up — a demanding veneer method in which a master technician layers ceramic powder onto platinum foil under a microscope, made as thin as a contact lens to minimise tooth reduction.
Our whitening light equipment meets the approval criteria of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (mfds.go.kr), and disclosure of non-covered treatment costs follows the public criteria of the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (hira.or.kr).
