Treatment Guarantee
From implant fixtures to composite resin, we publish the responsibility guarantee period for every treatment item. These are not terms you hear for the first time in the consulting room — what is written on this page is what applies.
If a problem occurs with that treatment within the guarantee period, you do not pay for the re-treatment. The clinic covers 100% — no remake fee, no re-procedure fee. It is not a sliding scale that shrinks as the period runs down: inside the period, it is fully covered.
A check-up every 6 months is required, and damage from trauma, neglect, or treatment performed at another clinic is not covered. Every condition is listed in Guarantee notes below.
Seongmo Dental Clinic’s treatment guarantee covers 100% of the re-treatment cost within the guarantee period. Implant fixtures are guaranteed for a lifetime (Straumann), 7 years (Osstem SOI and IBS), 5 years (Osstem SA) and 3 years (Megagen and Neo). For prosthetics and restorations: Bond-Fill resin 7 years, ceramic inlay, laminate and ceramic crown 5 years, overlay and endocrown 3 years, zirconia crown, hybrid inlay and composite resin 1 year. A check-up every 6 months is required, and external factors such as trauma are excluded.
01 Implant Fixture
Implants differ by fixture brand in material grade, surface treatment and manufacturer guarantee policy. Seongmo Dental Clinic publishes the guarantee period for each brand next to its fee.

Fees include 3D CT diagnosis, a custom abutment and a zirconia crown, per fixture. The guarantee applies to the fixture (artificial root); the prosthesis placed on top follows the Prosthesis & restoration table below. Full price list: Fees.
Straumann, founded in Switzerland in 1954, is the world’s largest implant manufacturer by market share and runs a manufacturer-level lifetime guarantee programme for the fixture body (Straumann® Guarantee, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and country-specific conditions). Seongmo Dental Clinic adds its own clinic guarantee on top of that. Dr. Jang is a Straumann implant advisor, and the lot number of every fixture placed is recorded in the chart.
BLX comes with Roxolid alloy and the SLActive hydrophilic surface as standard across all sizes. The manufacturer reports healing in about 3–4 weeks, and a 10-year survival rate of 98.8% has been reported (Buser 2012). More on Straumann →
Seongmo Dental Clinic opened in 1998 and has practised at the same address in front of Sungshin Women’s University Station for 28 years. Dr. Tae-yoon Jang is the third-generation director. A long guarantee period means the same clinic keeps treating at the same place for that whole period. That is also why prosthetic design data and fixture lot numbers are stored permanently.

Crowns, inlays and resin restorations last differently depending on the material and the bonding method. Seongmo Dental Clinic sets the guarantee period by material grade.

Bond-Fill resin keeps its elasticity after curing and resists fracture and debonding better than standard composite, so it carries a 7-year guarantee. Laminate, ceramic crown and ceramic inlay are all e.max class ceramics and share 5 years; an endocrown is a partial-coverage restoration like an overlay, so it follows the same 3 years.
‘Crown’ is one word —
but the material decides the guarantee.
03 Conditions
The items and conditions that actually apply depend on the treatment type, the material used and the individual guarantee explained at the time of treatment. Seongmo Dental Clinic provides the expected total cost and the guarantee conditions for each item in writing before treatment begins. Consultations are available in Korean and English.
04 Checkpoints
When comparing dental guarantees, look beyond the number of years: check whether re-treatment inside the period really costs you nothing, whether the guarantee covers the fixture or the prosthesis, what the conditions and exclusions are, and whether the clinic stores your prosthetic data.

A longer number is not the whole comparison. What you actually pay inside the period, which part of the treatment is covered and what is excluded are what make the difference on the day re-treatment is needed.
