Seongmo Dental Clinic operates an in-house 3D printer. We design temporary crowns, TMJ splints, denture custom trays, and implant surgical guides on computer from Primescan data and print them ourselves, cutting the delays and errors that used to come from shipping to an outside dental lab.

Based on precision data from a 3D scanner, we design and produce surgical guides, temporary crowns, TMJ splints, and custom trays in-house on computer. This eliminates the delays and errors that came from outsourcing to a dental lab, and is the core technology behind a more precise, comfortable treatment process for patients.

The advantage of in-house production isn't just speed. Adjustments made during fitting can be fed straight back into the design and reprinted, making the refinement process far shorter.

Without the hassle of outsourcing, right in-house immediately after a 3D scan, we print a precise temporary crown matched to the patient's tooth shape.
In-House TMJ Custom Splint Fabrication
We don't allow even minor occlusal error. Beyond TMJ stabilization splints, we also make the Anterior Repositioning Splint (ARS)needed for advanced TMJ treatment, in-house.
Denture Precision-Impression Custom Tray
We analyze each patient's unique gum shape and jawbone condition in 3D to make a custom impression tray. This step is what makes a denture fit comfortably and securely rather than loosely.
Implant Surgical Guide
Carries over the results of a simulated surgery exactly. We print a surgical guide that guides placement position, angle, and depth to 0.1mm precision, reducing the risk of nerve damage and shortening surgery time through navigation-guided surgery.

A temporary crown maintains tooth shape, gum contour, and occlusion while you wait for the final restoration, so a poor fit can cause gum swelling or throw off the final prosthetic.

Treating a temporary crown as something you "just wear briefly" is a mistake that shows up at the final restoration stage. If the gum doesn't settle or the neighboring teeth shift even slightly, the prosthetic won't fit as planned.

A TMJ device eases the burden on muscles and joints by adjusting lower-jaw position and occlusal contact, so its thickness and contact surface need to match the design exactly for it to work.

Teeth grinding, clenching, and TMJ pain are problems tangled up with occlusion, muscles, and habits. Since the device's role is to redistribute that force, even a slightly off contact point changes the result.

Seongmo Dental Clinic prints splints and ARS devices in-house, then checks and adjusts contact position and timing with T-scan digital occlusal analysis. When needed, we also manage muscle load with i-JECT B precision Botox injections.

By overlaying 3D CT and scan data to simulate surgery on computer, then printing a guide that follows that plan to direct placement position, angle, and depth, we can reduce the risk of nerve/vessel damage and shorten surgery time.

An implant is placed inside bone where it can't be seen. It has to find a spot with enough bone while avoiding nerves, blood vessels, and neighboring tooth roots — guided surgery is what makes that judgment call based on data instead of guesswork.

Seongmo Dental Clinic builds the plan by registering HDX Dentri 3D CT and Primescan data together, then prints the guide with our in-house 3D printer. We add ACTILINK plasma surface activation and T-scan occlusal adjustment on top, managing stability even after surgery.

Is a device made with a 3D printer as precise as one made by a dental lab?

Dental 3D printing uses scan data directly, reducing the errors that arise from model duplication and transport. Seongmo Dental Clinic checks fit and occlusion in the mouth after printing and adjusts as needed.

Can I get a temporary crown the same day?

Once scanning and design are complete, we print it in-house, so same-day fabrication is possible in many cases. That said, the schedule can vary depending on the number of teeth and gum condition.

Is the final restoration also made with the 3D printer?

Final ceramic/zirconia restorations are made by PrimeMill milling and SpeedFire sintering. The 3D printer is mainly used for temporary crowns, devices, guides, and trays.

How long do I need to wear a TMJ device?

It varies by symptom and cause; wear time and duration are adjusted based on progress, referencing T-scan occlusal analysis results as well.

Is an implant guide used in every case?

It's decided based on bone condition, the number of implants, and distance from risk structures. In cases that need a guide, we print it in-house after 3D CT planning.
